When developing and debugging WordPress themes, I am often in the position of being confused about exactly which php template file is loading on a given page.  To solve this problem, I have created a plugin that displays the path of the current page template file at the top of the page.  It is called, “What Template File Am I Viewing”.

The plugin is available via the normal WordPress plugin installer on your site.  Just click “Plugins”->”Add New” and then search for “what template file am i using” and install per normal.

Many many thanks to VegasGeek, who wrote the actual code that is being used in the plugin!
