I think every freelancer has a totally unique working style. For example, I tend to wake up with the sun and work straight on through evening, with a break or two for food, exercise, and music. Rarely do I work later than midnight.
My friend, Charlie, works in hyper-ridiculous spurts where he will spend 20+ hours working on a project, get sick due to lack of sleep, celebrate the project’s completion, then start all over again.
“To each his own!”, my dad says.
WordPress’ founder, Matt Mullenweg runs on a completely different schedule than me. He travels a lot, parties, and rarely goes to bed before 5 a.m. Plus, he doesn’t eat breakfast – something I consider a mandatory item on my daily calendar.
What does all this mean? Nothing…unless you are one of those people who work on other people’s schedules (a.k.a. You work for someone else.).
Many thanks to @JeffPesek for sending this article my way!
